5 GOOD REASONS WHY QUANTUM is No. 1

Quantum have been making Heat Pump Hot Water systems for over 30 years. Remarkably, Quantum Energy has heat pumps still operating after 15 years in the field.
We recently visited a site in Sydney, where the Quantum HW Heat Pumps were installed in 2012, outdoors.
They are still running!

The Quantum Warranty is the best-in-market, for commercial applications.
Quantum offers 5 years on their tank and 2 years parts & labour, on compressors and other parts.
Others offer commercial warranties of 1 or 2 years on tanks and 1 year on electrics and compressors.

Quantum has the highest hot water recovery rate in the hot water heat pump market. This is because of their patented Tank Wrap design, where the heating tubes wrap around the tank. This provides the best conduction of heat from air to water.
The result is superior energy savings.

The hot water being produced does not touch the heat transfer piping, which means Quantum units can handle alkaline or ‘hard’ water. Other systems have strict limits on water quality, as they block up and fail, if the water is ‘hard’.

Quantum has no heating element to ‘suck’ energy. Many other Hot Water Heat Pumps require a ‘back-up’ heating element, that uses conventional resistance heating. Professionally installed Quantum units never run out.

Quantum Commercial Hot Water Heat Pump units, also known as heat pump water heaters, work by transferring heat from the surrounding air to heat water.
HP HW units work like Air Con units in reverse.... Here's an overview of how they operate.
- 1. Heat Absorption: The heat pump unit consists of an evaporator coil containing a refrigerant. Air from the surroundings is drawn into the unit and passes over the evaporator coil, which absorbs heat from the air.
- 2. Refrigerant Vaporization: As the refrigerant in the evaporator coil absorbs heat, it changes from a liquid to a vapor state.
- 3. Compression: The vaporized refrigerant is then compressed by a compressor, which increases its temperature and pressure. This process requires electricity to run the compressor.
- 4. Heat Transfer: The hot, high-pressure refrigerant vapor then passes through a condenser coil, where it releases heat to the water in the storage tank. This heat transfer process warms up the water.
- 5. Expansion: After releasing its heat to the water, the refrigerant, now in a liquid state, goes through an expansion valve, reducing its pressure and temperature.
- 6. Repeating the Cycle: The cycle repeats as the refrigerant flows back to the evaporator coil to absorb more heat from the surrounding air.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD HEAT PUMP HOT WATER system? It’s having a good warranty. Quantum have been manufacturing Commercial Hot Water Heat Pump for over 30 years. They are technology leaders and have thousands of units running for 10 years or more.
Quantum have the best commercial warranty in the Australian market.
